Fried Chicken
Ingredients
Whole chicken (1 kilo or more)
Yogurt
Flour
Salt
Deep frying oil
Direction
• Wash the chicken well.
• Cut the wings.
• Cut the chicken in eight pieces.
• Season the chicken with yogurt and marinate in the refrigerator for a whole day at least.
• Mix salt with flour.
• Cover chicken with flour on both sides, and place on a colander to dust excess flour.
• Fry in deep oil over a heat of 160 to 170 centigrade.
Coffee Cake
Ingredients:
4 T butter
3/4 C sugar
4 eggs
1/3 C coffee, finely ground
3/4 C flour
1/4 t salt
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t cinnamon
1/3 C almonds, ground
Directions:
Add the eggs one by one,Cream butter and mix in the sugar..
Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, coffee and almonds.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixing continuously.
Pour into a greased baking pan or a large coffee cup (oven proof) and place into a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
Let cool and garnish with whipped cream, cinnamon and roasted coffee beans.
Pizza Soup
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 cup zucchini, sliced
1 cup mushroom, sliced
2 cups Italian tomato, chopped
3 cups meat stock
½ cup cooked sausage, chopped
1 cup pizza sauce
½ teaspoon pizza seasoning (oregano-basil-thyme)
½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions
1. Heat oil in a saucepan; add onion, garlic, pepper, mushroom and zucchini. Stir for few minutes.
2. Add stock, chopped tomato, pizza sauce, sausage and seasoning.
3. Simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Scoop in a serving bowl and top with mozzarella cheese.
Suggestions
•
You may add green pepper.
•You may add salami or cooked ground meat or cooked chicken parts.
•You may also add pizza dough circles (pre cooked), place the soup over it; or French bread cubes with garnish and arrange it at the bottom of the plate and bake, put the soup over it and serve.
•Decorate with basil or pizza slices.
•Make your own pizza sauce.
