iam studying at the university
the first year to be exact
actully iam here bcoz iam very depressed of my english level
maybe my grammer is ok but my weak points in speaking n listening
i dont speak too much
at home i dont have the one who i can speak to
n in the university i became very shy bcoz there are better than me
i know thats not good
n iam working on it
lets keep it up girls

hey .... I'm back
so .... princess... u've mentioned earlier that all ur schools were english
i'm just a lill curious ... how did it affect ur personality?? ( note: i'm assuming english schools in uae..rit?)
 
when I was in grade 1 , I studied in London .. cuz my dad went to university there..
only one year, but It helped a lot..
when we came back to UAE .. I went to a private school, but I chose the arabic section.. I wad sick of english already..
I don't think my personality was affected in anyway.. cuz I did great in Arabic too in the following years..
the point is.. when kids get exposed to other languages in early years.. they learn faster..
 
thanx princess... it's just that sometimes i meet girls who studied in english school

they seem.... well ...like disconnected from the world we live in
, i don't mean they r stupid or anything... no... but ... more like .. lost

like the last time i meet this sweet girl.. almost all her life was in europ
u know when u invite some ppl for food.. and after they finish eating
they say like an arabic thank u ..like" Allah ya3'naikum" and then the host reply something .... well .. to cut a long story short... she just confused both sentences
 
hahaha ..
it doesn't have to be cuz she lived in europ.. it's just that her mom didn't think she have to teach her everything.. but the problem is she didn't really live with a big family where she would hear people around her say those things...
the same thing with my family, although my younger sis studied in UAE all her life.. but she gets confused with these things all the time.. cuz we never lived near our grandmothers, aunts, and uncles.. and mom believes she shouldn't teach us everything.. that we should learn from watching others.. !!

well...i would like to learn more conversation when i go to salon to have my hair a nice cut or to make mask for my face or make my nails
